LaColectiva is a project aiming to change the Colombian camming business model by creating a system where models have more autonomy over their careers. We plan to do this in two main ways: 1) making sure a model fully owns all her content and identity — including her profile on the platform and all her social media; and 2) making sure she has the knowledge and support she needs to build her own career in the industry. That support is the "collective" in LaColectiva.

The vehicle for this is a new kind of studio — one where models are partners, not just assets. The studio hasn't launched yet; we're still planning it out, raising money, and getting feedback from the community so we build something that genuinely helps solve the industry's problems.

The idea for LaColectiva came from Drexy, a startup founder who previously launched a friendship app for Gen-Z women in Madrid. After that startup failed, he went looking for a new real-world problem to work on. He looked at a lot of them — from declining bee populations to feeding a growing world — but weirdly landed on improving the situation of cam models in Colombia: an interesting and genuinely hard problem.

The interview is done over Telegram and is completely anonymous. We'll ask you for a link to confirm you're a genuine cam model — that could be your profile on one of the platforms, a Linktree, or anything else that shows you're a real model.

The questions are mainly about the problems you see in the camming industry. We want to understand what those problems are, and how we could build a new business to help fix them.
